Great entry in the series mostly. However, it was a little more metaphysical and abstract than previous installments. The things that I loved about the first two were a little lacking in this one. The stories did all connect in a way though. I hope the next one gets back more toward the first two.Product details

Limbus is back with new jobs, new twists and a peak inside to it's dark kimono. Start with book 1 and savory the journey!
Follows the theme of the last 2 books, excellent stories and characters. Carries on the interesting lines of Limbus Inc. Hope I never get that card, much as seeing "We Employ" would lead to interesting things. Talk about hitting rock bottom before heading into the light. Pard the mixed metaphor.
Like the previous 2 Limbus books I enjoyed this 3rd in the series, until I had the misfortune of reading Atlatl by Laird Barron. Another reviewer said this story was like a drug trip, and I agree. This story told in nearly identical multiveses with nearly identical characters is an indecipherable mess which greatly dimished my overall enjoyment of the book. Many people love Barron's stories, but this was my 1st encounterwith one of his works and I wil avoid him in the future.
So, it started out solid. Great premise, great stories, stayed up until 2am reading it. Then that train wreck of the last story. I skimmed it, at best, and plowed through the ending. Maybe if that was in the middle? Overall, a fantastic series. Not every book can be perfect.
Having loved the previous Limbus collections, I was snuggled and prepared to enjoy. Unfortunately, very little is truly memorable and it is more that the story within the story made Mr want to see the end, rather than any true enjoyment from each of the individual tales.
If you are already a fan of the Limbus saga, then you owe it to yourself to read the third installment. This volume introduces new Limbus operatives and reacquaints us with old friends. As always, the Limbus personnel in this edition are individuals uniquely suited for the requirements of the particular clientele. This edition also gives a bit more insight into the nature of the Limbus organization. I'm looking forward to Limbus IV.
